The Cost Accountant is responsible for all cost accounting, new product costing and updating standard costs. They will work closely with the Senior Financial Analyst, Product Costing & Supply chain to ensure accurate product costs and timely updates. Key contributor in our multi-year product costing redesign project to improve item cost accuracy. Month-end closing activities Setting monthly and quarterly standards Cost improvement project Recommends, designs and implements internal controls and continuous improvements based on department objectives. Seeks out opportunities to contribute to the business success through proactive involvement in team initiatives Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA/CMA/MBA a plus 3 years of cost accounting experience Strong technical and accounting skills Excellent computer skills (MS Office suite, including Advanced Excel) required. Experience with Oracle and Hyperion desirable, but not required. Strong organizational skills and must be extremely detail oriented. Proven ability to manage and prioritize work to meet deadlines Strong independent work ethic, with the ability to adapt to new systems and collaborate cross-functionally Has a natural competitiveness for identifying opportunities, and driving results. Must have developed customer/colleague relationship skills with strong service orientation.
