UPLIFT Desk is Hiring a Chief Operating Officer Near Austin, TX

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Chief Operating Officer to fill an Integrator role. You will be the company’s second-in-command and responsible for integrating the major functions of the business, running the organizations, and managing the daily issues. The Integrator role is the glue that holds the people, processes, systems, priorities, and strategy of the company together. 

Required Qualifications

  • In Austin, TX area or willing to relocate to Austin (we offer a relocation package)
  • 3 years at the the COO level with strong E-commerce and Direct To Consumer (DTC) brand experience
  • Capability to learn the business financial position, growth opportunities, and competitive landscape
  • Proven ability to lead direct reports with continual coaching, feedback, and development
  • Proven ability to develop, implement, and oversee the financial strategy 
  • Proven ability to communicate with the executive team and your teams
  • Deep understanding of finance functions, including Audit and Risk Management
  • Proven ability to identify opportunities to improve processes to streamline workflows and operations
  • Previous experience as Chief Staff, COO, or Operations Manager
  • Provide management to staff and leadership to the organization that aligns with the company’s business plan and overall strategic vision.
  • Assist executive team members in creating, growing and building a world class, industry leading organization
  • Drive company results from both an operational and financial perspective, working closely with the CFO, CEO and other key executive team members

What You’ll Do

  • Run the day-to-day business - lead, manage, and hold people accountable to deadlines. Do this via performance metrics, meetings, and emails/calls
  • Manage projects; Follow through; execute; beat the drum to "row, row"; integrate the leadership team harmoniously
  • Provide management to staff and leadership to the organization that aligns with the company’s business plan and overall strategic vision.
  • Assist executive team members in creating, growing and building a world class, industry leading organization
  • Drive company results from both an operational and financial perspective, working closely with the CFO, CEO, VP Accounting & Finance, and other key executive team members
  • Partner with the VP Accounting & Finance to achieve favorable financial results with respect to sales, profitability, cash flow, mergers and acquisitions, systems, reporting and controls
  • Create effective measurement tools to gauge the efficiency and effectiveness of internal and external processes
  • Provide accurate and timely reports outlining the operational condition of the company
  • Be a steady force to ensure communication with the organization
  • Write, implement, and follow processes
  • Resolve problems correctly and set priorities by working closely with the CEO
  • Integrate the business functions (Sales, Marketing, Website Content, Operations)
  • Point a group of people all in the same direction

Position Details

  • Compensation: DOE 
  • Type: Full-time
  • Employee Status: Regular
  • Work Schedule: Able to frequently work extended hours as required by business needs. 
  • Location: Austin, Texas

Currently is a hybrid position and follows a 2 day in-office work schedule, with in-office days based on business needs. In the future this role may become 100% in-office if business needs change. You must be based within commutable distance of the work location listed on the job posting, or willing to relocate prior to beginning employment with UPLIFT Desk.
