A Utility Technician is primarily responsible for performing compliance related tasks associated with natural gas distribution as well as general warehouse related duties. Although not an exhaustive list, the following duties will/may be performed by a Utility Technician:
Assist in maintaining A.C.C. Code Compliance which includes data input, record keeping, tracking and monitoring of Code Compliance requirements for completion. Responsible for field activities associated with Code Compliance including gauge and pressure recorder calibrations and record keeping, patrolling, atmospheric patrols records, and odorant tests.
Responsible for keeping maintaining all ACC/DOT compliance records such as underground leaks, atmospheric leak maps, corrosion maps, system surveillance, and isolation maps. Also includes all inspection documents such as patrolling, valves, and meters. Maintains emergency material lists, DIRT log, and Leak Logs. Always provides exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers.
Utility Technicians may review and may certain types of documents such as maintenance CIR’s, leak cards, anode cards, SRO’s, leak surveys, atmospheric corrosion surveys, monthly paper charts and electronic pressure records, dig-in’s and equipment and gauge inspections. Responsibly for ensuring completeness and accuracy in all aspects of work.
Required to ensure equipment checks, pipeline patrolling and leak surveys, paper and electronic pressure recording device maintenance and calibrations are done accurately and completed on schedule.
Responsible for assisting with preparation for compliance QA Audits, Pre-Audits and Audits. Responsible for maintaining the records room which includes creating annual binders, moving out old records and purging files as needed. Responsible for reporting changes to emergency plan, as necessary, such as maintaining the Curtailment Plan, the Emergency Equipment List and the Emergency Valve List in the Emergency Plan.
Utility Technicians may assist or be fully responsible for warehouse activities including inventory, daily transactions, material ordering, issuing and receiving, maintain daily manual/computer records used to compile monthly statistical report, maintain time and material invoice log for billing damage to company property.
Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
This position may provide services to affiliates of the Company subject to the UNS Energy Code of Conduct and the related Policies and Procedures.

Qualified applicants will be given a written test and must get 75% or better to proceed in the interview process.
