We're hiring a Financial Reporting Analyst to join our Accounting Team in Souderton.

Responsibilities

The Financial Reporting Analyst will support the Director of Financial Reporting in the preparation of external reporting requirements with a focus on Federal Reserve Regulatory reporting. The Financial Reporting Analyst will be responsible for monitoring and communicating the status of all related tasks to the Director of Financial Reporting, ensuring timely completion in accordance with established deadlines, and interfacing with internal and external parties. The Financial Reporting Analyst may be asked to research and present findings on the regulatory reporting or regulatory capital treatment of certain items on an ad hoc basis and may participate in the analysis and implementation of new accounting standards in accordance with U.S. GAAP and RAP. A successful candidate will be an energetic and highly motivated individual who can objectively analyze information to identify problems and develop effective solutions to address them. An emphasis on attention to detail with the goal of producing a high-quality work product free of errors is of the utmost importance. Candidate will be required to attend annual Regulatory training classes, online or in-person.

  • Prepare and maintain current, accurate and detailed supporting schedules and related workpapers in support of the quarterly and annual Federal Reserve filing requirements, including the FR Y-9C, FR Y-9LP, FR Y 6 and FFIEC 041 Call Report filing, ensuring compliance consistent with the Company's control environment. Prepare the regulatory capital ratios in accordance with regulatory requirements. Analyze and explain differences period over period for reporting to senior management.
  • Assist with monitoring external changes to GAAP and RAP as well as internal changes resulting from business transactions that impact regulatory reporting and execute the regulatory change management procedures, including managing and executing the implementation of new financial reporting requirements.
  • Coordinates information requests from examiners and assists in providing responses and implementing changes from examiners during audits and reviews of financial statements.
  • Assist with balance sheet account reconciliations, account analysis, accrual calculations, and other related accounting documents/schedules as needed.
  • Utilizes available technology to maintain and develop system reports for regulatory reporting with an eye towards process improvement and creating efficiencies.
  • Perform all other duties as required, including assisting with the preparation of certain items needed for SEC filings and related audits.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance or related work experience;

Prior work experience, which may include internships in accounting or finance, preferred

Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively interface with members of the team and senior management;

Basic competency in Microsoft Excel; Skills including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, SUMIF, etc. a plus;

Experience with Jack Henry or similar accounting system a plus;

Ability to understand workflows, learn and utilize new systems, and improve existing processes.
