We're looking for a Business Analyst to join our growing Business Optimization team.

The role of a Business Analyst is to evaluate, understand, and address complex client needs. This includes creating a shared understanding of the business problems and opportunities at the center of an initiative, as well as the solution proposed to achieve the desired business outcome. The Business Analyst’s primary objective is to elicit, analyze, and document the requirements of a project, program, or product, as well as communicate them clearly to stakeholders and manage requirement changes as necessary to maximize the value of the solution being delivered within existing constraints. Requirements are typically elicited and analyzed by conducting interviews and facilitating workshops with existing business stakeholders and by closely collaborating with the technical delivery teams and customers or end users.

The Business Analyst should understand current and future processes, data, and systems to detail the consequences of making a business change to address a specific need. Business Analysts should be able to assess and validate if a solution has fulfilled the requirements as well as the stated business benefits of the initiative, using analytics tools and metrics as needed. A Business Analyst role often includes writing user stories and acceptance criteria to populate agile backlogs in most of our technology-related client work. 

Responsibilities

• Elicits, analyzes, specifies, and validates the business needs of stakeholders, subject matter experts and/or end users.

• Collaborates with project sponsors to determine project scope and vision.

• Liaison with Senior Management, Commercial Banking, Marketing, Compliance, etc. to understand business and data requirements, translating, simplifying, and prioritizing those requirements and upgrading the system and business processes

• Conducts interviews to gather customer requirements via workshops, questionnaires, surveys, site visits, workflow storyboards, use cases, scenarios, and other methods.

• Identifies and establishes scope and parameters of requirements analysis on a project-by-project basis to define project impact, outcome criteria, and metrics.

• Works with stakeholders and project team to prioritize collected requirements.

• Assists in conducting research on products to meet agreed upon requirements and to support purchasing efforts.

• Participates in the QA of purchased solutions to ensure features and functions have been enabled and optimized.

• Analyzes and verifies requirements for completeness, consistency, comprehensibility, feasibility, and conformity to standards.

• Develops and utilizes standard templates to accurately and concisely document requirements specifications.

• Translates conceptual customer requirements into functional requirements in a clear manner that is comprehensible to developers/project team.

• Creates process models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to developers and/or the project team.

• Assists with the interpretation of customer requirements into feasible options and communicating these back to the business stakeholders.

• Manages and tracks the status of requirements throughout the project lifecycle; enforce and redefine as necessary.

• Communicates changes, enhancements, and modifications of business requirements — verbally or through written documentation — to project managers, sponsors, and other stakeholders so that issues and solutions are understood.

• Liaison with end-users, third party vendors, Salesforce and nCino support, and Univest Tech Support

• Support end-users by troubleshooting issues directed to the Salesforce Support Desk

• Work with System Admins to analyze issues and trends, define solutions for system issues, implement additional/new procedures, and provide more efficient business practices

• Drive system/unit testing and process change requests, coordinate, and document user acceptance testing (UAT)

• Review and analyze all Salesforce/nCino patches and releases and advise on impacts to users, workflows, and processes. Develop documentation to support and enable the implementation of new rules.

• Partner with bank leadership to provide analysis and trending reports to assist in problem resolution

• Collaborate with Compliance and Risk Management regarding regulatory changes and with Marketing on website initiatives, when applicable

• Self-motivated and capable of working independently, able to thrive in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment

• Provide support in the development of the Operations Change Management process

• Maintain technical knowledge by reviewing Salesforce publications & web trainings as well as industry knowledge

• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5 years of Banking Experience in business analysis or related field

• Proven experience with business and technical requirements analysis, elicitation, modeling, verification, and methodology development

• Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills.

• The ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine solutions.

• Experience creating detailed reports and giving presentations.

• Excellent planning, documentation, organizational, and time management skills.

• A history of leading and supporting successful projects.

• Able to exercise independent judgment

• Excellent analytical, conceptual thinking, mathematical, and creative problem-solving skills

• Exceptional listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills

• Logical and efficient, with keen attention to detail

• Highly self-motivated and directed

• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks while under pressure

• Strong customer service orientation

• Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

• Proficiency in all aspects of Microsoft Office Suite
