Sexual Health Coordinator
  • Are you passionate about health education and promotion?
  • Do you have experience giving presentations, consults and risk reduction tools on healthy sexuality and sexual health?
  • Can you build rapport quickly with students, faculty and staff?
The Sexual Health Coordinator plans and implements evidence-based and comprehensive health education and promotion programs to a diverse student population. Under the direct supervision of an Associate Director, this Coordinator will conduct and supervise delivery of private and group consultations with students prior to receiving an STI test(s). Along with other risk reduction strategies, the Coordinator of Sexual Health will be responsible for the distribution of safer sex supplies.
Day to Day for this position:
  • Plan and implement health education and promotion programs on topics including health sexuality and sexual health

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and 2 or more years of experience, which may be substituted by equivalent combination of certification, training, education, and/or experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s in Public Health, Social Work, or related field. Experience in providing evidence-based health promotion program development, implementation, and evaluation. Training and/or experience in health education and promotion. Grant writing experience. Experience in leading activities within a Healthy Campus Initiative. Experience in college health and CHES certification or willing to obtain.
Knowledge of basic principles, practices, and theories affecting health and wellness. Strong presentation and facilitation skills. Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to establish effective working relationships and maintain positive public relations. Ability to establish effective working relationships with students, faculty, staff, community agencies, and the general public. Ability to provide supportive education and referrals for student as appropriate. Ability to take initiative and be innovative.
