Job Summary:

Join Central Human Resources as a Organizational Development Consultant for the Learning and Development team located on the Anschutz Medical Campus. We are looking for a highly motivated, solution driven professional who will consultant with departments, schools, and colleges on professional development.

Key Responsibilities:

Program Development and Maintenance:

  • Work with the Assistant Vice Chancellor in the development and execution of specialized custom course requests for management programs.
  • Consult with departments, schools, and colleges on needs professional development needs assessments.
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of new and existing in-person and on-line courses.

Organizational Development (OD) Activities:

  • Work with the Assistant Vice Chancellor to develop comprehensive OD services offered by the L&D Department.
  • Coach individuals participating in the Manager Certification Program.
  • Perform 1:1 coaching as requested by departments, schools, and colleges.
  • Assist with developing competency-based training plans and map competencies to existing training provided by the department.
  • Perform 360 assessments and coaching.
  • Assist with employee engagement/climate surveys requested by departments, schools, and colleges.

Program and Group Facilitation:

  • Utilize various learning methods including live, blended learning strategies, and online learning, to facilitate courses.
  • Conduct group facilitation sessions such as: team retreats, strategic planning sessions, etc.

Program Analytics:

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of existing programs and services utilizing relevant assessment data and provide recommendations to the Assistant Vice Chancellor on program updates, redesign or new program offerings.

The Learning & Development team is a dedicated group of HR professionals who consult and provide expertise on a variety of Learning & Development topics and trainings across the entire Anschutz campus.

This is a hybrid, Term-Limited position with 2-3 days a week on campus and as needed based on client needs and requests.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in business, higher education administration, human resources, organizational development or a directly related field from an accredited institution.
  • Substitution: A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor’s degree on a year for year basis.
  • Five years of experience which included developing high-impact leadership and professional development programs in a large de-centralized organization, with complex employee development needs.
  • A minimum of three years of organizational development effectiveness work in the areas such as but no limited to:
    • coaching (individuals and teams)
    • group facilitation assistance with developing and executing employee engagement surveys.

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in OD, education, HR or other related field
  • At least 5 years of experience in organizational development consulting
  • Certified in assessments such as Gallup Strengths, Gallup Q12 Facilitator, 360 Assessments, MBTI
  • Certified Coach
  • Facilitator Certifications such as: FranklinCovey and Crucial Learning (Crucial Conversations and Crucial Accountability)
  • HR Certifications (CPLP, PHR, SPHR) preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to analyze, interpret, and evaluate a broad range of laws, rules, and regulations in order to exercise good judgment in applying them to human resource challenges.
  • Knowledge of the professional standards, concepts, and practices of recruitment and selection, employee relations, or organizational development and human resource policy.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally, including public speaking.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated commitment and leadership ability to advance diversity and inclusion.
  • Thorough knowledge of current management and leadership methods and best practices.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Project management, change management, facilitation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and develop metrics.
  • Knowledge of HR and organizational development fundamentals.

Anticipated Pay Range:

The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as $68,914-$90,000

The above hiring range represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation depending on the level.
