Job Summary:
The Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Colorado Denver invites applications for an open-rank tenure-track faculty position in Water Resources (groundwater/surface water hydrology and/or environmental hydraulics). We are seeking applicants with crosscutting expertise in one or more areas of analytical and applied hydrology including: contaminated groundwater remediation, porous media clogging and permeability; public health; global health, and/or sustainable infrastructure systems. Ideal applicants will also have experience or demonstrated interest in community engagement, equity, and social justice in their research and/or teaching.

The Department of Civil Engineering has 10 full time tenured and tenure track faculty, 4 clinical teaching track, and many part time lecturers. The department offers undergraduate and graduate degrees, including masters and doctoral, in civil engineering, construction engineering management, and construction management. While the civil engineering program has been accredited continuously since its inception, the newly formed construction disciplines have yet to be reviewed. In 2022, the department had 130 graduate students and 10 certificate students while the undergraduate disciplines had 296 students.

Anticipated Pay Range:
The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE:
Assistant Professor: $90,000 - $95,000 per 9 month academic year. Additional salary for summer months can be sourced from research funds or for additional duties.
Associate Professor: $95,000 - $105,000 per 9 month academic year. Additional salary for summer months can be sourced from research funds or for additional duties.
Professor: $105,000 - $115,000 per 9 month academic year. Additional salary for summer months can be sourced from research funds or for additional duties.
The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt.
