Department F&A HR - University Compensation and Performance About the Department The Compensation team leads the design and implementation of broad-based compensation activities for University staff. We partner together with HR Community members to ensure pay decisions are externally competitive and internally equitable, promote pay for performance, and encourage fiscal responsibility. Job Summary Reporting to the Manager, Compensation & Performance, the Compensation Analyst serves as a consultant to the broader HR Community throughout campus. Implements compensation strategy and operationalizes to optimize business impact. Proven analytical and communication capabilities to enable the delivery of impactful and effective compensation programs. Responsibilities Maintains and evaluates market data survey portfolio, submission and result processes, and market data library. Prepares meaningful dashboards and reports to enhance insights delivery and enable informed pay decision making. Formulates thoughtful program recommendations that balance University needs with best in class practices and industry trends. May support the University-wide, staff annual compensation process, including creation of educational toolkit, data aggregation, and talent investment reporting. Interprets compensation policies, processes, and governance. Analyzes and manages the base pay structure and governance approach. Works to coordinate the job evaluation process, including facilitating internal peer reviews and external competitive market pricing surveys and assessments. Performs other related work as needed. Minimum Qualifications Education: Minimum requirements include a college or university degree in related field. --- Work Experience: Minimum requirements include knowledge and skills developed through 2-5 years of work experience in a related job discipline. --- Certifications: --- Preferred Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as human resources, finance, or business administration. Experience: Previous experience in a decentralized environment. Workday experience. Technical Skills or Knowledge: Demonstrated technology experience in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel (i.e., vlookups, pivot tables, data visualization, etc.). Preferred Competencies Strong customer service orientation and communication skills. Utilize critical thinking skills to draw conclusions / solve problems. Project management skills and the ability to work and learn independently. Analytical and consultation skills; demonstrate high level of professionalism and personal integrity. Presentation, consultation, and group facilitation skills with experience presenting complex information to a wide variety of audiences.
