Department: CPH | CRHSJ Prewitt Department's Website: Summary of Job Duties: The Food Security and COVID-19 Program is seeking a full-time (100% FTE) Project Director. The Project Director will provide day-to-day oversight of planning and implementation of key action steps, daily supervision of staff, and conduct regular meetings of team and coalition to assure timely completion of action steps. The Project Director will schedule and coordinate weekly team meetings and biweekly coalition meetings; develop a process tracking system for monitoring study activities; oversee the biweekly publication of newsletter for coalition partners; coordinate media outreach with stakeholders; work with stakeholders to engage coalition partners that reach Black, low income, and rural populations disproportionately impacted by COVID-19; work with staff to oversee development and management of project public website and shared portal; develop evaluation tools; manage and train all staff; provide oversight of recruitment activities and data collection in collaboration with investigators; assure that project logs and records are maintained; and assist investigator team in all aspects of study including data collection, analysis, interpretation, and development of reports. The Director will help to problem solve capacity building challenges, and provide regular reports to the investigator team regarding coalition progress and outreach to foodbank pantries. The Director will develop materials and messages, prepare protocols, and disseminate messages to various audiences. The Director will help the investigators write manuscripts and disseminate project products to CBOs, health providers and policy-makers. Qualifications: KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide leadership to and manage day-to-day activities related to the implementation of the food security and COVID-19 project, including supervision of staff. Lead regular team meetings, coalition meetings, and coordinate meetings with existing and new partners. Develop evaluation tools, oversee the collection of evaluation data, provide regular progress reports, and implement alternative solutions as needed to address critical challenges. Manage the program budget, assure timely implementation of the project, and provide regular reports on the project. Work with staff to maintain a sustainable coalition of partners and activities that help to reduce COVID-19 disparities. Work with study team to develop and implement secure systems for assuring the quality, confidentiality, IRB compliance, and safety of the data; and maintain appropriate study logs, process tracking, records, and databases. Other duties as assigned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education, general: PhD in Public Health, Education, Health Services Administration, Health Policy and Management or other related field plus 2 year of experience in working on community research projects or related experience OR Master's Degree in Public Health, Education, Health Services Administration, Health Policy and Management or other related field plus 4 years of experience working on community research projects or related experience OR Bachelor's Degree in Public Health, Education, Health Services Administration, Health Policy and Management or other related field with evaluation components PLUS 6 years of experience in community research programs or related experience. Experience, length in years and kind: Experience in working on research projects. Licenses, certificates, or registration: Must have valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and valid auto insurance. Special knowledge, abilities and skills: Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Red-Cap, and Excel.
