As the Executive Assistant, you will provide top-notch administrative support and keep things running smoothly in the office. A typical day might include managing the Dean’s calendar, coordinating logistics for meetings, handling correspondence, taking meeting minutes and ensuring action items are followed up on, and communicating with staff, students, faculty, and external stakeholders in a friendly and professional manner.
To thrive in this role, you must have excellent organizational skills, the ability to multitask and prioritize duties, strong written and verbal communication skills to interact confidently with various individuals, a proactive attitude with a keen eye for detail and ability to anticipate needs.
Minimum Qualifications:
BA or BS degree preferred. Experience may be considered in lieu of a college degree.
Position Details:
This position is located on the University of Alaska Southeast campus in Juneau, Alaska. This is a full-time, non-exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and full employee benefits package. UA provides a generous compensation package that includes retirement options, annual leave, 12 paid holidays per year, tuition waivers for employees and family members, and affordable medical, dental and vision care coverage. New hires will be placed on the UA staff salary schedule, Grade 78, based on education and experience.

The university system started as the Alaska Agricultural College and School of Mines in Fairbanks, later renamed the University of Alaska. That first year, the campus was a single two-story frame building and had just six students. The school was renamed the University of Alaska in 1935. In 1954, Anchorage Community College (now known as the University of Alaska Anchorage) was incorporated into the University of Alaska. That next year, Juneau Community College was established and was later named the University of Alaska Southeast. The UA systems largest hubs (UAA, UAF and UAS) are separately a...ccredited institutions, as is Prince William Sound Community College in Valdez. System-wide, nearly 33,000 full- and part-time students are enrolled, studying among 500 unique degree, certificate or endorsement programs.
