General Description / Primary Purpose
The Program Specialist, under the direction of the Assistant Director – Resolution and Engagement, supports the educational initiatives, training programs, and engagement efforts of the Dean of Students Office.
Essential Duties
Job Function
The Program Specialist will work to support the Assistant Director and Resolution Coordinator within the Resolution & Engagement team. Additionally, the Program Specialist will promote programming for the entire Dean of Students Office across campus through various events, workshops, promotional materials, etc.
Job Function
The Program Specialist supports the training institute and educational initiatives program and focuses on ways to connect with students and campus partners. The Program Specialist supports the entire Dean of Students Office areas and their outreach and educational programming needs.

The Program Specialist maintains a working relationship with on-campus resources, specifically for students, and partners with other programming opportunities related to the mission of the Office.
Job Function
The Program Specialist coordinates and maintains informational and educational materials for the Dean of Students Office and collaborates with the Dean of Students on social media management.

The Care Services Specialist supports the development and maintenance of informational material and the departmental web page. Maintains confidentiality of student records. Other duties as assigned.

This position has been designated as a CSA because it involves significant responsibility for student and campus activities and/or responsibility for campus security. This position has a reporting requirement because the University believes that responsibility for students, campus activities and/or campus security will make the holder of this position someone members of the University community will see as an authority figure and someone to whom they can seek help. A CSA is not expected to investigate or determine whether a criminal incident actually took place. A CSA’s responsibility is a duty to report. All positions designated as CSAs are required to complete an online or in-person training session.
