Responsibilities

  • Assumes responsibility for cardiac monitoring functions on patients requiring
    monitoring on the Telemetry Unit and completes appropriate documentation.
  • Supports direct patient care activities by performing clerical functions and
    communicates to all persons involved in unit operations. Functions with minimal
    supervision.
  • Responsible for maintaining patient records in a condition, which
    promotes efficient data collection and retrieval.
  • Under the direct supervision of RN, assists the unit secretary with the transcription of physician orders.
  • Supports System and Nursing Strategic Plans, Relationship-Based Care, and
    Shared Leadership.
What You Need to Be Successful:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have corrected visual and aural acuity.
  • Must be able to read cardiac rhythms and possess knowledge of medical terms
