University Hospital, Newark NJ is Hiring a Director of Pharmacy Near Newark, NJ
Responsibilities
The primary purpose of the Director of Pharmacy position is to plan, budget, direct and supervise pharmacy activities and personnel, including managing new programs within the department and for the hospital. Maintains the pharmacy within established hospital and regulatory agency laws, TJC, and Department of Public Health Regulations.
Qualifications
Pharm D. or Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy, and other relevant post-graduate degree from an accredited institution is required. Residency training or Board Certification desirable. A minimum of eight (8) years of hospital experience with a minimum of five (5) years in a supervisory/administrative capacity is required. Candidate must possess knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations regarding the practice of pharmacy, including but not limited to, DOH, DEA, TJC, USP <797>, USP <800>, USP <795>, and 340b. Strong professional, organizational, computer, communication, and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of automated dispensing systems preferred.
