The laboratory of Dr. Denise Montell in the Neuroscience Research Institute at the University of California, Santa Barbara invites applications for a full-time Assistant Project Scientist position. Responsibilities will include designing, executing, and analyzing experiments with the final goal of identifying the molecular mechanisms regulating anastasis, the process of recovery from the brink of cell death. The appointee will provide regular updates on his/her/their progress in the form of oral presentations. The appointee is expected to be knowledgeable in the field, trained in confocal microscopy, able to develop new tools in the form of cell lines or Drosophila stocks. The appointee will be expected to make significant conceptual contributions to the project.
