Position Description:
UCLA Extension is considered one of the top programs of its kind, offering to more than 35,000 students per year approximately 4,500 classes and non-degree certificate programs to meet the professional development, continuing education and personal enrichment needs of the full spectrum of nontraditional students as well as companies and organizations throughout and beyond the Los Angeles region.
Reporting to the Executive Director of Strategic Communications and Marketing, the Director of Web Content Development and Digital Strategy--with a high degree of autonomy--will apply deep understanding, expertise, and leadership in strategizing and managing the continuous improvement of website features, content, information architecture, data collection and analysis to support the institutional goals of UCLA Extension.
The director will supervise an internal team of marketing, digital communications, and web development professionals and manage external resources to continuously update and improve the UCLA Extension website. In addition to web strategy, this position will oversee web development, user experience, content production, Search Engine Optimization (SEO), and will provide overall web and digital communications leadership across all program and support departments at UNEX. Close collaboration with academic departments, IT Services, International Programs, and Student Services is essential for maintaining healthy and fully operational web functionality, including reliable integration across UNEX systems, including but not limited to Destiny One, Marketo, and Salesforce.
