*Position Description:*
The Director of Student Affairs & Inclusive Learning Environment cultivates an environment of mutual respect and appreciation of the diverse law school community comprised of students, faculty and staff from various socio-economic, ethnic and cultural backgrounds. The incumbent provides student counseling services to students from various backgrounds to foster academic success and professional development.
The Director's major responsibilities include: implementing and further developing strategic efforts to improve the school's student and classroom diversity and inclusion goals; serve on the law school's Equity, Diversity and Inclusion committee; address student complaints and feedback, especially on issues related to equity, diversity and inclusion; conduct necessary administrative investigations; develop and implement programs and initiatives aimed at promoting professionalism and wellness, and build skills of conflict resolution and cultural effectiveness as critical competencies for effective 21st century lawyering; engage in student counseling and academic advising; and collaborate with student organizations and student government to address concerns and build a sense of community.
