Duties & Responsibilities

Enrollment Counseling:

  • Provides an enthusiastic first response and 1:1 support to prospective international students.
  • Facilitates students finding their best-fit undergraduate major or graduate program, and makes referrals via the Constituent Relationship Management (CRM) systems to individual student requests.
  • Develops an in-depth of knowledge of all admission pathways for prospective graduate and undergraduate international students to any University of Arizona campus, including UArizona Academy High School Program, Global Direct (online), Microcampus Dual Degree, and the main campus in Tucson.
  • Uses the Slate CRM software to track and record student interactions.
  • Represents the University of Arizona at virtual or in-person events such as information sessions, webinars, social media events, fairs, high school visits, recruitment partner/advisor/counselor trainings, and alumni gatherings.
  • Finds opportunities to engage prospects and yields during all stages of the funnel to assure complete application submission and influence yield.

Regional Strategy:

  • Manages region-specific marketing platforms for lead generation and integrates the enrollment counseling processes into the Slate CRM.
  • Coordinates between marketing and other parties on campus to develop promotional content tailored for audience in designated region.
  • Builds an annual regional recruitment plan with guidance from leadership and Arizona International constituents.
  • Analyzes data to make informed decisions regarding recruitment activities and enrollment goals.
  • Works with partnered recruitment agents to increase student enrollment, including trainings on UA’s systems, majors and programs, admission process, as well as on-going promotional/marketing support.
  • Establish and maintain international relationships with key organizations (i.e. High School Counselors, Government Officials).

Leadership:

  • Supervise, train, and support 1-3 full-time Enrollment Counselors.
  • Ensure team collaboration on all regional recruitment activities.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience is required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Fluency in a second language.
  • Two or more years experience supervising student employees or full-time staff.
  • Master's degree.
  • Three or more years experience in international recruitment, admissions, marketing, or direct customer service experience.
