Description

In-home caregiving services is one of the fastest-growing industries in the United States. UMAS provides in-home caregiving services to the elderly so they can age gracefully in the dignity and comfort of their own homes. 

IT Managers are responsible for coordinating, planning, and leading computer-related activities in an organization. They help determine the IT needs of an organization and are responsible for implementing computer systems to fulfill the organization's information systems requirements. The scope of an IT manager's responsibilities ranges from; computer networks, to managing telecommunications systems, and other electronic support systems related to the company operations.

Universal Metro Asian Services (UMAS) is a Not-For-Profit organization that aims to serve immigrant populations of India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, the Middle East, Latin America, and Europe. 

UMAS is a small, family-run organization. The perceptive employee would need to have experience with that or have experience wearing multiple hats. In addition, perceptive employees should be able to work autonomously, be a self-starter, and have initiative and follow through. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Maintain essential IT operations, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, software, and hardware
  • Own projects, solutions, and key responsibilities within a larger business initiative
  • Handle business-critical IT tasks and systems administration
  • Research and evaluate emerging technologies, hardware, and software
  • Track and maintain hardware and software inventory
  • Analyze department needs, identify vulnerabilities, and boost productivity, efficiency, and accuracy to inform business decisions
  • Ensure network components meet needs and work together seamlessly, using the full range of capabilities, and stay informed about new features and competitive solutions
  • Continuously analyze the current processes, technologies, and vendors to identify areas for improvement
  • Prepare cost-benefits analysis reports when upgrades are necessary, continuously analyzing vendors to ensure they offer the best possible service and value for company needs
  • Train employees on both software and hardware, troubleshoot, and provide technical support when needed
  • Develop and execute disaster procedures, and maintain data backups

Requirements

Skills and Qualifications

  • CompTIA A Certified
  • 5 years experience in IT management
  • Experience with or knowledge of programming languages and operating systems (Office 365, Azure, MS Exchange, Active Directory, and other Windows-based systems), current equipment and technologies, enterprise backup and recovery procedures, and system performance monitoring
  • Expertise in implementing, configuring, and testing solutions
  • Hardware Setup - Laptops, Images, Printers, VOIP Phones,
