Home Care Private Duty Nurse (RN)

Job Description

UniversaCare is seeking to hire Private Duty Nurses.

Hours: 8–12-hour shifts

Start Date: Immediately

As a Home Care Private Duty Nurse (RN), you will experience a special energy and excitement from your work as you join a team of individuals who are committed to improving the lives of others. You will work in a growing, specialized area of the nursing field outside the walls of a hospital setting.

Job Responsibilities[LH1][LH2]

Must be able to work with G-tubes, trach care, administer medication, personal care, foley catheter, and other specialized care

Must be able to create treatment plan based on MD orders

Identify areas of improvement for the patient

Ability to work independently as well as alongside others

Must be able to communicate effectively

Must be able to reposition patients and move equipment

Required Qualifications

Active and unrestricted registered nurse with current license in state of NY

2 years of experience working as an RN, Home Care experience is a plus

Have and maintain current CPR/ BLS certificate

Knowledge of HIPAA patient privacy and data security requirements; OSHA employee protection regulations

Hold current Malpractice Insurance

Have experience with Microsoft Office to document and track patient care activity
