The UnitedMasters team is made up of musicians, marketers, engineers, and storytellers with backgrounds from YouTube, SoundCloud, Pandora, Facebook, Uber, Dropbox, Complex, VICE, and more. We work hand in hand with the award-winning creative teams that forge those innovative partnerships at Translation (our in-house creative advertising agency).

We are looking for a Sr. Branded Entertainment Manager to join UnitedMasters! Please note that this role is a Hybrid role: three days in office and two days remote. 

# What You'll Do

The Branded Entertainment Manager will lead all creative ideation, packaging and production of brand integrations into UnitedMasters content and events. This position plays a key role in driving revenue growth within the brand partnerships team and within the company. 

  • Collaborate with brand partnerships, music and marketing teams to concept, package, sell and execute ground breaking stories across multiple channels including social, live-streaming and experiential
  • Translate client objectives to epic ideas that help independent artists monetize their craft and push culture forward 
  • Write treatments and create moodboards to align on the vision with clients and production partners 
  • Direct camera and talent on shoots to ensure we “get the shot” 
  • Support supervising producer or executive producer (pre-pro, on set, post) and provide creative feedback directly to editors 
  • Recommend talent and write discussion guides to ensure event speakers deliver necessary messaging to drive social engagement 
  • Uphold the highest standards of narrative and visual quality 

# Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Comprehensive knowledge of music culture, passionate about developing artists 
  • Strong storytelling and narrative skills particularly in social 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to present thoughts clearly and succinctly 
  • Sense of ownership and accountability over the creative process from ideation to execution 
  • Fiercely independent, embodying our company values 
  • Entrepreneurial disposition, comfortable in a fast-paced, non-traditional environment 
  • Comfortable presenting to clients and understanding/incorporating feedback while staying true to the brand 
  • Ability to concept across a range of tones and formats 
  • Proven ability to work under tight deadlines without sacrificing the quality of the work 
  • Passionate about working smarter vs harder 
  • Experience working in highly matrixed organizations with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders 

# Minimum Qualifications

  • 6 years minimum experience in branded content 
  • Proficient in google suite (slides, sheets, docs)

# Preferred Qualifications

  • Creative agency/production, entertainment or music industry experience 
  • Experience at a founder-led company

These deals give them additional money for their work and increase their exposure.

Salary Hiring Range: $140,000-$180,000

Our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our size and industry, and are one part of many compensation, benefits and other reward opportunities we provide (e.g. bonus, stock options, 401(k) match, etc.)

Individual pay rate decisions are based on a number of factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, and balancing internal equity relative to peers at the company. We expect the majority of the candidates who are offered roles at our company to fall healthily throughout the range based on these factors. 

The range above is for the expectations as laid out in the job description, however we are often open to a wide variety of profiles, and recognize that the person we hire may be less experienced (or more senior) than this job description as posted. If that ends up being the case, the updated salary range will be communicated with you as a candidate.

The salary range above is for NY/CA. As a company, we have a location based strategy, which means the salary range could be lower or higher than this if the role is hired in another location.
