OPTUM (formerly ProHealth) is one of the largest private multi-specialty medical practices in the Northeast and has been serving the health needs of Long Island and the Greater New York Metropolitan area since 1997. We are currently seeking a Building/Office Manager to join our growing team in our Smithtown, NY location to oversee the operations of our growing team of specialties: Ophthalmology, ENT, Allergy, Pediatrics, Podiatry, Primary Care and Endocrinology. The building currently has 11 providers, 18 FTE’s, 2 PTE’s, and 1 per diem employee averaging 580 patients weekly.

Schedule: Availability between 8am and 6pm to assist as matters arise. 

Primary Responsibilities: 
Manager to perform daily duties such as payroll, approve orders, conduct staff and provider meetings, assess staff performance, create and adjust provider schedules, cover staff at the front desk when needed, assist in surgical coordination, place service tickets, participate in company quarterly meetings, ability to be resourceful, and ensure company goals and initiatives are followed through. Run daily reporting for optimization opportunities and report to directors for continuous support.

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED (or higher) OR 4 years customer service experience 
• 3 years of customer service experience with solid communication skills both in person and via phone 
• 1 years of related work experience and managerial skills
• Working knowledge of general office procedures 
• Working knowledge of medical terminology
• Intermediate proficiency of Microsoft applications
