This position will report to the Portfolio and Program Manager on the Clinical Performance Optimal Care & Business Solutions Team. The role will provide coverage for project management and operational support, flexing across all the teams within Optimal Care & Business Solutions as well as over a wide range of activities and levels of leadership. The role also works to coordinate, document, and improve processes. In all facets of the work, the position serves to ensure optimal customer service to our internal and external partners and operational success of our program initiatives.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Flex across all teams as needed to support a wide range of activities and balance team workloads
  • Document, track, and follow-up with key projects and activities at the direction of leaders
  • Participate in active project work groups/committees and provides recommendations to achieve goals. Facilitates meetings as necessary, contributes to planning and decision making, coordinates project resources and collaborates with project stakeholders to collect and disseminate project information
  • Prepare reports, presentations, verbal/written correspondences, agendas, notes and action items, communications, and other required documentation
  • Monitor and report progress throughout the project life cycle, using appropriate project planning and scheduling tools (e.g., dashboards, metrics) for project or program related meetings or events
  • Analyze, document, and perform operational process work of the team to ensure business continuity 
  • Understand and document business requirements, and work with both non-technical and technical resources to build solutions for business problems
  • Identify potential risks or issues in a timely way. Assist in developing and implementing contingency and recovery plans as needed
  • Manage own workload and work with minimal assistance to complete tasks
  • Perform all other related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
  • 2 years of experience in the healthcare industry 
  • Experience with Smartsheet
  • Experience working remote/in a remote capacity
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Visio

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • Smartsheet Certified or Core Badges
  • Knowledge of Risk Adjustment
  • Proven ability to plan, prioritize, organize, and complete complex work efforts to meet established objectives and deadlines

California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York City, or Washington Residents Only: The salary range for California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York City, or Washington residents is $67,800 to $133,100. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
