This role will be responsible for development, maintenance and execution of manual / automation scripts for Contact Center applications. The Quality Engineer will be responsible for all phases of functional, cross functional and automation testing. This person should be able to understand and provide testing solutions for complex multi-channel programs. Should also be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and coordinates with other teams to ensure deadlines are met and application quality and performance meets standards before production implementation.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Participate in discussions with the project team to analyze the functional and nonfunctional requirements of the contact center application solutions in Agile methodology
  • Experience in testing GeneSys call routing, CTI custom softphone applications
  • Experience in developing Manual and automation test strategies with CYARA
  • Perform manual/automated testing and log detailed defects in Rally
  • Design and develop scalable, flexible, and cross-platform automation test frameworks
  • Design and develop test approaches, test strategies, and test plans to ensure testing is right sized and risk-based testing principles are applied
  • Participate in technical design reviews and be able to identify requirements ambiguity
  • Be accountable for all project or release test efforts for programs that span multiple domains and apps including Limited System Integration or End to End Testing efforts
  • Provide QA status reports and escalate issues/risks in a timely manner to management for resolution
  • Be responsible for ongoing continuous improvement to build testing efficiency and effectiveness through the use of innovative QA practices
  • Work closely with development and business partners during design and grooming sessions
  • Review requirements and provide level of effort for various phases of testing
  • Create, measure, and report out key metrics for the performance of the SQA team, as well as the quality health of the various projects
  • Lead training sessions and mentor others on the various aspects of test automation as required
  • Lead the strategy around test cases and end to end test framework to maximize the test coverage
  • Provide thought leadership and support in cross channel analytics and execute against self-generated ideas for process improvements
  • This role is onsite in Basking Ridge, NJ

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Engineering OR 5 years of Quality Engineering experience
  • 3 years of experience in Software quality assurance technical testing in one or more of the following Voice Contact Center technologies (Voice, IVR, Call Routing, CTI, or Agent Desktop) 
  • 3 years of experience in leading QA teams with a demonstrated ability in establishing testing strategies and test case development and E2E test validations 
  • 1 year of working experience in Cyara automation tool
  • 1 year of experience in validating logs using tools, such as Splunk

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's of Science Degree in Computer Science, Engineering
  • Experience with SaaS products, Agile/Scrum, Devops
  • Experience with relational databases such as Oracle and MS SQL Server
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Visio, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access)
  • Previous experience with onsite and remote/offshore team members

Soft Skills:

  • Ability to extract, translate and communicate meaningful information with management and peers
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical thinking abilities
