Responsible for assisting the Chief Operating Officer through project management, coordination and leading of key initiatives aligned with the department and organization’s strategy to improve business performance throughout the organization. Responsible for managing a group of related projects or a program and includes managing discrete projects as required. Utilizes project management tools to plan, develop, execute, sustain and report effective planning and improvement of critical business processes and systems. 

Primary Summary:

Responsible for assisting the Chief Operating Officer through project management, coordination and leading of key initiatives aligned with the department and organization’s strategy to improve business performance throughout the organization. Responsible for managing a group of related projects or a program and includes managing discrete projects as required. Utilizes project management tools to plan, develop, execute, sustain and report effective planning and improvement of critical business processes and systems. Responsible for overseeing and managing the Kanban team which includes coaching and mentoring. Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree and relevant work experience and certification in Project Management or equivalent experience
• Knowledge of various software applications such as Microsoft Excel, Access, Outlook, etc.
• Full COVID-19 vaccination is an essential requirement of this role. Candidates located in states that mandate COVID-19 booster doses must also comply with those state requirements. UnitedHealth Group will adhere to all federal, state and local regulations as well as all client requirements and will obtain necessary proof of vaccination, and boosters when applicable, prior to employment to ensure compliance

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Business Administration
• MBA, Lean certification expertise and experience
• 5 years work experience in Project Management and in a healthcare environment or related field
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills 

Unless certification, licensure or registration is required, an equivalent combination of education and experience, which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed in this description, may be substituted for the above requirements.
