This position is full-time. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00am – 5:00pm. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.Our office is located at 115 W Wausau Ave Wausau, WI 54401.

Primary Responsibilities:

 The following duties cover what are generally believed to be principal and essential functions of the job. Specific circumstances may allow or require some people assigned to the job to perform a somewhat different combination of duties.

  • Providing support to Supervisors, Units and Customers.
  • Ensuring employees and customers are receiving accurate information within a timely manner.
  • Performing duties to ensure the success of everyone, team, and company.
  • Open, sort, scan and index incoming mail for the COBRA and Retiree Billing departments.
  • Responsible for processing the following files from COBRA system: Not Processed File, Customer Remittance File, Processed ACH File and Not Processed ACH File.
  • Processes credit card transactions resulting from escalated member calls.
  • Prepares and processes returned mail
  • Assists with posting of COBRA premium cash.
  • Prepares and balances daily manual check transmittals to total cash received.
  • Processes daily letter files from COBRA system.
  • Monitors and coordinates letters received through team emails for mailing.
  • Monitors, forwards, and tracks all emails received and sent through the mycobra mailbox, RightFax and other communications from customers, brokers, outside carriers, and other departments on a timely basis.
  • Assists with updating spreadsheets or databases due to audits or procedure updates.
  • Orders Supplies for COBRA team.
  • Maintains working knowledge of the following systems and software: COBRApoint, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and Microsoft applications such as Teams, Outlook and Access.
  • All other tasks and projects as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma / GED (or higher) OR equivalent work experience
  • Customer Service experience
  • Ability to create, edit, format, save documents and spreadsheets in Microsoft Word & Microsoft Excel
  • Full COVID-19 vaccination is an essential job function of this role. Candidates located in states that mandate COVID-19 booster doses must also comply with those state requirements. UnitedHealth Group will adhere to all federal, state, and local regulations as well as all client requirements and will obtain necessary proof of vaccination, and boosters when applicable, prior to employment to ensure compliance. Preferred Qualifications:

  • Call Center experience
  • Accounting courses or accounting experience for balancing daily COBRA premiums – i.e., bank experience, etc.
