You’ll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead or help develop program or project scope statements, in consultation with applicable stakeholders (e.g. program/project charter, Statement of Work, Business Vision Document)
  • Work with resource managers to drive the identification of the skills, duration and effort required for successful project execution
  • Collect, analyze and maintain financial forecast information (e.g. labor, hardware, software), using input from applicable sources
  • Establish/apply quality objectives, criteria, standards and levels using appropriate quality management methods, with stakeholder input (e.g. key performance indicators, scope definition)
  • Develop, communicate and implement program/project risk/issue management plans and strategies (e.g. mitigation, avoidance, transfer, acceptance)
  • Develop, maintain and manage detail project plan to ensure projects are completed on time and in scope

This role will challenge your ability to work on complex projects where deadlines and scope shift frequently. You’ll need flexibility, agility and the ability to change while maintaining solid relationships with stakeholders in a highly cross-matrixed environment.

Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
  • 3 years of direct or indirect project management experience driving work to achieve business goals/objectives
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Application Suite 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PMP Certification 
  • Experience with system/platform migrations, new business integration, and working with technology teams
  • Experience in lead project management developing project timelines, road maps, mitigating risks
  • Proficiency with MS Visio 
  • Ability to influence with and without direct management/authority
  • Proven organization skills with ability to work in ambiguous circumstances
  • Solid writing, presentation and speaking skills, with demonstrated experience leading project-focused meetings

Travel Requirement: Less than 25% domestically

Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, or New York City Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $82,100 to $146,900. The salary range for Connecticut/Nevada/New York City residents is $90,500 to $161,600. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
