Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:30pm

Location:145 Thunder Drive, Vista, CA 92083

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Greets patients as they arrive
  • Coordinates patient flow
  • Assists patient with intake or admitting processes including copying required documents
  • Collects co - payments, co - insurance and deductibles and issues receipts
  • Collects, records and balances payments
  • Processes walk - in patients and visitors
  • Answers phones and schedules appointments
  • Manages medical records (maintains, files / scans, prepares for schedule)
  • Ensures all correspondence is scanned and / or filed in timely manner
  • Processes requests for medical records release and maintains appropriate logs, etc.
  • Flexible to cover Urgent Care hours if needed

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED OR 4 years of medical office experience 
  • 1 years of data entry experience
  • 1 years of experience working in a medical office
  • 1 years of experience with insurance verifications
  • 1 years of customer service experience
  • Intermediate level of proficiency in Microsoft Office i.e., Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Full COVID-19 vaccination is an essential job function of this role. Candidates located in states that mandate COVID-19 booster doses must also comply with those state requirements. UnitedHealth Group will adhere to all federal, state, and local regulations as well as all client requirements and will obtain necessary proof of vaccination, and boosters when applicable, prior to employment to ensure compliance. Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1 years of ICD 10 and CPT coding experience
  • 1 years of experience with referrals
  • 1 years of Electronic Medical Records (EMR) experience
  • Bilingual fluency in Farsi and English
