The Area Vice President Labor & Trust is primarily responsible for generating revenue and developing new business through a consultative selling process with consultants and Funds. AVP independently develops and executes strategic plans on growing existing Labor coalition partnerships, as well as developing and contracting with new Labor & Trust Fund relationships by expertly managing and nurturing key consultant relationships. The VP is responsible for designing and selling solutions to new business prospects to meet individual annual growth targets.

 Primary Responsibilities: 

• Manage and ensure contract execution of new Labor client relationships, new coalition clients, and annual market check contract updates
• Lead analytical and proposal requests for Prospects
• Facilitate finalist meetings including team coordination, strategy development and presentation build, executive sponsorship, as well as all follow-up communication post finalist
• Meet and build relationships with Optum Consultant & Coalition Partners, senior executives associated with Labor & Trust prospects within coalitions, and with the existing account teams who own key Labor & Trustee relationships on existing clients
• Manage Labor coalition annual market check
• Follow - up on prospect meetings and successfully negotiate with prospects and associated brokers and consultants
• Make presentations to consultants, brokers, Fund Administrators & Boards of Trustees, including at industry functions to educate prospects on OptumRx pharmacy benefit solutions within Labor market
• Establishing and maintaining Consultant / Broker relationships is a large component of this position
• Manage pipeline via SalesForceGo

Required Qualifications:

• 3 years of experience in PBM in the areas of PBM Sales, PBM Client relationship management/Account Management or as a Broker / Consultant of PBM or H&B services
• 3 years of experience preparing and presenting materials to clients
• 3 years of experience working in partnership with underwriting and finance in PBM or healthcare
• Advanced Client facing presentation experience
• Proficiency in Excel, Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
• Ability to travel up to 50% to visit client base within a national geographic area

Preferred Qualifications:

• Consultant Relations Experience and/or been a consultant yourself

Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, or New York City Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $70,000 to $140,000. The salary range for Connecticut/Nevada/New York City residents is $70,000 to $140,000.
