UNITED WAY OF TARRANT COUNTY is Hiring a CCPD Grant Navigator Near Fort Worth, TX

Description
Position Summary
In this part-time position, the CCPD Grant Navigator will be responsible for providing assistance to eligible 501(c)3 agencies in connecting their programming to the mission of Crime Control and Prevention District (CCPD) as described in the CCPD grant Requests for Proposals (RFPs) as they seek to secure funding.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Attending and supplementing CCPD Pre-Proposal Training by providing expertise in areas relevant to successful grant seeking, including, but not limited to: grant application development, grant budget development, strategic planning, capacity building, program development, program evaluation, sustainability planning, utilizing and documenting sources, etc.
  • Conferring with agencies on their responses to the RFP.
  • Advising on and proofreading documents and text for submission into the ZoomGrants platform.
  • Assisting in the development of eligible programming/projects.
  • Facilitating questions and inquiries with CCPD staff.
  • Providing input in the development of a plan to measure agency programming in accordance with the RFP and as covered in the CCPD Pre-Proposal Training.
  • Providing guidance regarding the approach to identification of sources to support information provided in the application.
Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States (No Sponsorship)
  • Must have excellent and effective oral and written communication skills, exhibiting strong proofreading and editing skills
  • Professionalism, discretion, and consideration working with a diverse population. Must be able to successfully manage differing interests and viewpoints
  • 4-5 years of grant writing and/or grant review experience, experience working with prospective grantees preferred.
  • Ability to serve as a strong team member is essential
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively
  • High energy level and ability to work both independently and interdependently
  • Demonstrated computer proficiency. Experience with databases as well as Word, Excel, and Power Point required
  • Ability to use strategic thinking and use good judgment
  • High degree of accuracy in all work and documentation
  • Additional duties as assigned
Educational Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
Additional Requirements:
  • Valid Texas driver's license, minimum state insurance and reliable transportation required for driving into the office.
  • Reliable Internet access to support occasional remote work.
  • Consistent communication skills; and familiarity with RFP/grant seeking process.
  • Candidates must also have the ability to work effectively under pressure.
Personal Skills and Attributes:
  • Fluency in English required; fluency in Spanish preferred.

Work Hours/Environment:
  • Must be available to work 8 a.m.- 5 p.m. Monday-Friday.
  • The primary work location for this position is at a UWTC office and/or remote work location.
