Responsibilities

The IT Support Manager reports to the Senior Director of IT and will help ensure UVVC’s implementation and use of technology meets the business needs and supports the company mission. The IT Support Manager will oversee our IT Support team and will train, lead projects and support the IT Support team’s growth and innovation.

  • Work closely with Sr Director of IT to establish and enforce company IT standards regarding end user IT equipment such as laptops, desktops, iPads, printers, and other technology related equipment.
  • Assist in the development of KPI’s of the IT Department and identify any areas needing improvement.
  • Maintain the design, deployment, performance and evaluation of UVVC’s enterprise systems.
  • Coordinate the support team’s work schedules to ensure that we have adequate support coverage.
  • Bring new ideas for improvement to meet UVVC IT needs.
  • Maintain and administer computer networks and related computing environments including computer hardware, systems software, applications software, and all configurations.
  • Assist in the development and enforcement of organizational standards, policies and best practices for systems, software and hardware in line with evolving technology landscapes.
  • Assist in the IT deployment of new clinic builds, clinic expansions and acquisitions.
  • Ensue the team leverages zero trust concepts, centralized Identity management systems, MDM, cloud automations, and other modern technologies and security best practices for effective and efficient systems administration.
  • Identify common hardware, software, network or system problems and research solutions to engineer efficient solutions to recurring issues.
  • Act as an escalation point for resolution diagnosis, and resolution of hardware, software, or other network and system problems.
  • Analyze project data to determine specifications or requirements including cost effective solutions to UVVC needs.
  • Collaborate with others to resolve information technology issues.
  • Mentor, train and lead new members of the IT team.
  • Participate in and manage on-call rotation to ensure we have support coverage across our clinic time zones.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in IT management required.
  • Experience working in a healthcare organization is a plus.
  • Significant experience with the following technologies currently in use at UVVC (Office 365, Salesforce, OKTA, Azure, Meraki, MDM, Microsoft Teams, Ring Central).
  • Experience with Apple Business Manager.
  • Experience with networking technologies and cloud services.
  • Experience managing IT support teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Technical knowledge and experience with network and endpoint security.
  • Experience juggling multiple work streams concurrently, managing complex and competing priorities, and executing ambitious goals effectively.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to set up new clinics when needed.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, ability to work with users at all levels.
  • Dependable; able to meet reliable attendance and punctuality standards for the role.
