United States Bowling Congress is Hiring an Education and Training Manager Near Arlington, TX

JOB TITLE:Education and Training Manager

LOCATION: Arlington, TX

POSITION TYPE: Full-Time

FLSA STATUS: Exempt

REPORTS TO:Senior Director of Associations and Membership Ops

WORK HOURS:Monday – Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm, ability to work weekends for events and/or extended hours as needed.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Education and Training Manager is responsible for developing, managing, and implementing educational and training curriculums for the 1,500 local and state associations. The service to USBC members is done firsthand at the grassroots level by local associations who are the volunteer service arm to the organization. Core services of education could potentially include association operations, servicing league members, tournament bowlers, charitable fundraisers, halls of fame, league secretary workshops. Research, development, and implementation of curriculum with the assistance of the Regional Managers will be the focal point of this position. Additionally, the USBC Convention education platform will be the responsibility of this role, as well as regional training events.

This is a very visible, multi-task-oriented position focused on improving the service by associations to members and centers. Additional duties include materials management, generating reports, developing, and executing the new plans, and tracking implementation success.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Be the lead for all USBC strategic educational needs, both internally with staff and external with associations.
  • Development, planning and execution of curriculum to educate volunteer associations.
  • Work with leadership to assess, source and facilitate educational needs of employees.
  • Partner with departments to improve onboarding of new employees.
  • Activate the 1,500 USBC associations to engage in the education available.
  • Coordinate and host regional training days in the field with association leaders.
  • Develop the education plan and source necessary educators at the USBC Convention and Annual Meeting.
  • Lead and oversee resources available for associations on BOWL.com.
  • Collaborate with media and creative teams to develop new materials for educating and training of associations and USBC staff.
  • Support IBC and BPAA programs in the field.
  • Regular reliable attendance.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in education or communications.
  • Ability to coach, lead, and challenge by setting goals, priorities, and deadlines.
  • Ability to multi-task in a professional manner preferred.
  • Organization and time management skills required.
  • Professional phone and written communication skills required.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Windows software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, and Power Point) required (advanced preferred).

EXPERIENCE AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • 5 years’ experience in business, communications, or a related field required.
  • Experience giving presentations to large and small audiences.
  • Must adhere to the Code of Conduct of the USBC Registered Volunteer Program, is a condition of employment and continued employment.

COMPENSATION/BENEFITS:

  • Compensation paid commensurate on experience.

TRAVEL: Ability to travel up to 30% of the year required, including air and car travel.
