This position serves as a PSC to provide digital analysis of the different VOA entities broadcasting all over the world. It is important for the desired candidate to have journalistic background in addition to IT knowledge.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Identify and analyze key digital performance indicators for different VOA Services using multiple digital analytical tools including (but not limited to) Adobe Analytics, Crowd Tangle, Emplifi/Social Bakers, Chartbeat etc.
Monitor and assess video/multimedia programming on VOA websites, apps, and social media platforms such as, but not limited to, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube to determine their effectiveness in engaging and retaining the service’s target audience.
Pinpoint problems on VOA websites and social media accounts and make recommendations on how to improve content consumption and engagement.
Write reports and conduct presentations for VOA services that are clear and understandable for stakeholders with various levels of digital training and knowledge.
Act as a liaison between VOA Program Review and the Office of Digital Strategy to ensure review recommendations are consistent with VOA’s current digital strategy and best practices.
Determine the best social media practices in a certain target area missing from VOA’s coverage of that area/region.
Flag posts and digital content that are inconsistent with a service’s stated strategy and/or VOA’s mission or journalistic best practices.
Knowledge Required
Standards for managing and creating content for social media and website(s) providing factual content for a general audience.
Demonstrated understanding of targeting international audiences a plus.
Facility with use of digital analytical tools like Adobe Analytics, Crowd Tangle, Emplifi or similar platforms, and providing recommendations for improvement in content and strategy based on analysis of results
Ability to write reports and presenting findings and recommendations to stakeholders
Fluency in written and spoken English. Additional languages a plus.
Experience working with audience research about digital behavior and using the findings to create a new strategy or modify the existing one.

Qualifications
