United Medical Rehabilitation Hospital is Hiring a HUMAN RESOURCE COORDINATOR Near Hammond, LA


The HR Generalist/coordinator manages the day-to-day operations of the human resource office as well as the administration of the human resources policies, procedures, and programs. HR departments generally handle employee relations, training and development, benefits, compensation, organizational development, and employment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  1. Administers the hospital's compliance with various governmental regulations affecting labor; i.e. Equal Employment Opportunity Act, Fair Labor Standards Act, Equal Pay Act, National Labor Relations Act and other significant articles of legislation.
  2. Investigates causes of disputes and employee disciplinary problems, recommends follow-up action to management, including written warnings, suspensions and discharge action in conjunction with established policy.
  3. Maintains high standards of confidentiality of all employee records and information.
  4. Develops policy and procedure as it relates to personnel and regulations affecting labor.
  5. Promotes service oriented attitude when dealing with employees; able to balance employee needs/desires with the hospital objectives in mind.
  6. Recruiting and staffing logistics
  7. Performance management and improvement systems
  8. Organization development
  9. Compliance ​to regulatory concerns and reporting
  10. Onboarding and facilitating HR orientations
  11. Policy development and documentation
  12. Maintaining employee information and documentation changes
  13. Facilitate Company-employee communication
  14. Compensation and benefits administration
  15. Employee safety, welfare, and wellness education
  16. Follows United Medical Hospitals' Corporate Compliance Code of Conduct as evidenced through practice, performance, and attendance of annual review programs/in-services.
  17. Performs other duties as assigned or directed to ensure smooth operation of the organization.
