United Grinding North America is Hiring a Human Resources Administrator Near Miamisburg, OH

Overview:
The Human Resources Administrator delivers important service to United Grinding and our employees. This position provides administrative support to the Human Resources function while supporting our current and future team members. The HR Administrator manages recordkeeping, and plays a key role in supporting compliance, Workers Compensation, Paid Time Off and more. The HR Administrators interaction with employees and policies provides insight into how UGA can best meet the needs of our people. The person who will succeed in this role is someone who is very organized, possess excellent administrative skills, and loves helping people.
Responsibilities:
  • Assists employees with questions and needs related to their employment.
  • Processes required paperwork for employee transfers, changes in job classification, salary increases, and other related employment matters.
  • Maintains and updates electronic personnel records, including HRIS files (currently ADP) and forms as needed for the department. Composes and types routine correspondence
  • Administers all Worker’s Compensation Cases
  • Administers Family and Medical Leave and Disability Leave
  • Assists the Director of HR with the annual Performance Review process
  • Supports the Director of HR with employee relation activities, including rewards, recognition and engagement acitivities.
  • Maintains the Employee Policy Manual
  • Responsible for the HR section of UGA’s intranet including regular updates of the UGA Organizational Chart.
  • Assist with preparation, submission and posting of annual compliance reporting, such as OSHA logs, the Affirmative Action Plan, EEOC and VETS reporting, etc.
  • Perform other HR duties as assigned.
  • Deploy surveys - employee engagement surveys, new hire surveys, etc.
  • Handles routine to complex administrative tasks, and prepares sensitive information, files, policy-related matters, correspondence, or non-routine reports of a highly confidential nature requiring the utmost discretion and tact in guarding confidentiality
  • Responsible for planning meetings including, but not limited to arrangement of facilities, accommodations, travel, invitations, catering, entertainment, organizing speakers and controlling of the budgets and other related tasks
  • Responsible for financial transactions associated with Human Resources function, including purchase orders, invoice reconciliation and processing and expense reporting
Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience in Related Field, Skills, etc.):

  • High School Diploma required
  • Associates or Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Must be a skilled user of Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications (Certificates, Training, Licenses, and Experience):

  • Human Resources experience (1-2 years), plus a aPHR, or PHR certification preferred
  • Prior experience in an administrative role handling confidential information is strongly preferred

Other (Supervisory Responsibilities, Physical Demands, Travel):

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
