Position Summary:

The Trainer will conduct and deliver training in a number of learning formats. These formats typically include classroom, custom onsite and tele-video training classes/sessions. In addition to becoming an expert on the functionality of UCHC’s practice management/electronic medical records software, the Trainer will also train new employees on the use of other software, i.e. Microsoft Office products, including Outlook. At the end of the training the Trainer will administer a test to assess the employee’s understanding of the software. The Trainer will assist in learning-related activities such as product testing, curriculum development, training certifications and corporate educational events and conferences. The Trainer will take the lead in coordinating web-based training, i.e. eCW with supervisors and managers. The Trainer maintains a positive and professional attitude when interfacing with fellow employees and business partners. This position requires travel amongst UCHC’s sites, as well as occasional out-of-town for industry conferences.

Essential Functions

1. Provides high quality training to UCHC employees in person or by means of online/tele-video using approved training curriculum, student materials and instructor tools.
2. Develops a thorough understanding of existing and future software products used by UCHC in order to develop and/or deliver training. Updates learning materials with information about new features and functionality of software.
3. Utilizes quality control measures such as student certification and trainee feedback to ensure learner satisfaction and consistency, effectiveness and professionalism of teaching presentations.
4. Prepares classroom and materials for training courses.
5. Assists with quality assurance as needed. Reports problems appropriately to improve training processes, thus in-turn to improve patient care.
6. Adheres to approved policies & procedures.

Additional Duties & Responsibilities

1. Attends and participates in staff meetings and all mandatory in-service training. Also participates in voluntary in-service or outside trainings and staff meetings as appropriate.
2. Participates in inter-disciplinary task forces and work groups as relevant.
3. Participates in and complies with Quality Improvement initiatives and on-going continuous improvement efforts as appropriate.
4. Travels to UCHC clinic locations as needed.
5. All other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Qualifications/Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree preferred. Can be substituted with appropriate experience and training.
• Reliable vehicle and proof of insurance

Licensure/Certification

• Current CPR certification
• Valid Arizona driver’s license

Experience/Skills

• Minimum 5 years medical clinic experience.
• Will have demonstrated strong teaching skills, with the ability to develop professional training materials.
