We are seeking a Full Stack Developer to join and support our software development program for National Institute of Health (NIH) client. This position will be responsible for efforts using Agile methodologies to support the design, development, and implementation of native and cloud-based components.

This is a 100% remote position

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provides support for the construction, deployment, and operation of complex information systems.
• Develop and maintain code for Java Enterprise Edition (EE) web-based applications to meet business needs.
• Conducts and coordinates the design and implementation of software development to meet user requirements.
• Monitor and support Operations and Maintenance (O&M) tasks for all the applications under the program for analyzing and troubleshooting production issues.
• Analyze business requirements and create technical specifications, develops unit test plans to verify functionality of new and or revised applications.
• Develops technical design specifications for application development.
• Evaluate systems design and architecture concepts for development projects and analyze and apply advanced methods, theories, and research techniques to the investigation and solution of software applications and problems.
• Support the Management and Deployment of applications in AWS cloud environments.

Work Experience:

• 3 years Software Development in Java or Python.
• 3 years experience in cloud development and serverless solutions (AWS preferred, GCP, or Azure).
• 3 years experience with Container solutions (Docker, ECS, Fargate, Kubernetes, etc).
• 2 years experience developing in modern front-end frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue.js preferred).
• Experience working in an Agile software development team/environment.
• Experience in Relational database like PostgreSQL.
• Experience in performing development level testing.

Job Skills:

• Knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office including Excel, Office, etc.
• Comprehensive problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail
• Directs other software engineers or IT personal.
• Works independently or under general direction only.
• Willingness to learn, evolve and multi-task.

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business or other related medical, scientific, or technical discipline required.

Certificates, Licenses and Registrations:

• Any related Certification on Java, AWS is desired.
• Ability to obtain Public Trust Clearance.

Communication Skills:

• Solid ability to interface, inspire and motivate at various levels of the organization.
• Ability to convey technical information to non-technical individuals.
• Demonstrated experience communicating effectively across internal and external organizations.

Travel:

• No Travel Requirements.

Environmental Requirements:

• Mainly sedentary; in an office environment.
• May be required to lift up to ten (10) pounds.
• Flexible in working extended hours.
