Accounts Receivable Clerk – Part Time
Essential Functions
- Check and post all monies for assigned accounts received through the lockbox on a daily basis.
- Process credit card transactions on a daily basis.
- Process billings no later than one (1) business day after product is shipped.
- Monitor and make collection calls on all billings past due on a weekly basis.
- Document collection activities.
- Other closing activities as assigned within the established timelines.
- Ensure accuracy of invoicing.
- Process credit memos.
- Respond to Credit inquiries from external and internal clients.
- Reconcile customer statements to customer accounts as needed.
- Prepare weekly Accounts Receivable Report.
- Create and maintain credit history files.
- Identify and recommend delinquent accounts requiring external collection efforts.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Maintain customer detail spreadsheets to analyze billing and payment activity.
Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills – verbal and written.
- Detail oriented and able to manage multiple tasks.
- Flexibility to adapt to procedural enhancements and modifications.
- Must be proficient in MS Office.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
Physical Requirements/Work Environment
- Requires sitting and/or standing for prolonged periods of time throughout the day.
- May require walking periodically throughout the day.
- May require reaching above shoulder height, bending at the waste or lifting as required to file documents or store materials – proper lifting techniques required.
- May require lifting up to 25 pounds for files, materials or supplies.
- Periodic exposure to manufacturing areas which may require the use of protective equipment such as safety glasses and hearing protection.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $19.00 per hour
