POSITION OVERVIEW

Our Christchurch station is specialized in fleet maintenance of Ground Support Equipment (GSE) and we are now having opportunities open for heavy diesel mechanic who have experiences on trucks, trailers & buses or related fields. It's a full time position with competitive hourly rate. Eligibility to work in New Zealand is essential as is a clean criminal record. Applicants for this position should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Servicing and repairs on GSE equipment, ability to trace electrical faults and read schematics a plus
• Meet production targets both Repairs and Maintenance
• Operate and access heavy equipment safely and effectively
• Abide by all company and aviation authority procedures

QUALIFICATIONS

• Experiences in maintenance and servicing of ground support equipment or equivalent transferable skills from a similar industry 
• Desire to learn Ground Support Equipment and focus on a unique aspect of the trade
• Ability to identify defective or broken parts and repair hydraulic, electrical and mechanical systems
• Ability to adjust focus depending on customer needs and dynamics
• Experience in WOF inspections would be an advantage
