Description
The primary purpose of the Grocery Department Manager is to be responsible for the total operations of the Grocery departments and management of employees, which includes hiring, induction, coaching/counselling, training/skill development and performance management.
The Grocery Department Manager ensures an unprecedented shopping experience for the customer, promotes sales, and achieves sales budgets, profit margin and labor goals by focusing on quality, freshness and customer service.
- Previous experience managing a dairy department is required
- Must have excellent communication and customer service skills
- Must have proven ability to lead and develop a team
- Must be able to work in a cold environment
- Must be able to lift 25 lbs. or more routinely
- Must be able to stand while walking for entire shift
