We are looking for an experienced, highly motivated Senior DevSecOps Engineer to support our Site and Reliability Engineering team with security driven initiatives. The Senior DevSecOps Engineer is a hands-on technical position responsible for operating a diverse set of cloud security controls and monitoring processes. As a Senior DevSecOps Engineer at Umbra, you will have an opportunity to make a substantial impact on the maturation and development of our security program. You will collaborate on planning, requirements, research, and design of security solutions with the CISO and our engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with CISO and SRE to define security strategy and execute on it
• Improve the accessibility of security through automation, continuous integration pipelines, and other means
• Identify security tools and lead operationalization of solutions from POC to Production
• Security incident monitoring, response, and remediation
• Access control management for cloud infrastructure
• Educate and train staff on information system security best practices

Basic Qualifications

• 4 years of Information Security or engineering experience
• 2 years of direct experience in at least one Public Cloud (AWS or Azure or GCP)
• Familiarity with SecOps processes i.e., detection, monitoring, alerting and threat intelligence
• Proficiency in scripting using Bash, Python
• Strong knowledge of software development methodologies and the software development lifecycle
• Strong knowledge of container security and secrets management
• Working experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform)
• Experience supporting security audits
• Strong knowledge with integrating security tasks into CI/CD pipelines
• BA/BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience
