Anchor Hospital is seeking a dynamic and talented Therapist, Master’s Prepared - FT

Established in 1986, Anchor Hospital specializes in the treatment of behavioral health and addictive disease disorders for teens, adults and seniors. Our mental health facility in Atlanta, Georgia is located on a secluded, 55-acre campus, less than three miles from Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport and is accredited by the Joint Commission. Our continuum of services includes a 24/7 free, confidential psychiatric assessment by Georgia behavioral health professionals. Anchor Hospital is a proud supporter of the National Action Alliance on Suicide Prevention. We provide Georgia behavioral health education and resources to help improve the communities we serve.

The Therapists are responsible for conducting therapeutic services for patients, interviewing and developing the psychological history, assessing the therapeutic needs of the individual and family, developing appropriate treatment objectives, and treatment plan updates for patients. The Therapists conduct family sessions prior to discharge. Acts as the patients’ and families’ primary contact during the patient’s stay at the facility, as well as their advocate with the treatment team. The Therapists are also the liaisons with outside agencies and individuals for the purpose of developing and coordinating discharge planning with the treatment team and family.

Qualifications

Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university in social work, counseling or other related fields.

One (1) year direct clinical experience specific to family, individual and group therapy with adults, geriatric, children and/or adolescents. For specialized issues or treatment modalities, training must be specific to include but not be limited to: sexual offending, substance abuse, sexual trauma, and relaxation therapy. Must have knowledge of human development over the life span.

Prefer license from the State of Georgia, such as LMSW, LCSW, LMFT, LAPC or LPC
