The UHS Corporate Human Resource Department is hiring a Senior Compensation Analyst to provide advanced analytical expertise to support the planning, design, development, and administration of the UHS compensation programs both at the corporate office and for field locations. The role will interface regularly with HR colleagues and all levels of management within the organization to ensure effectiveness of compensation policies, guidelines, and programs in support of the retention, attraction, and motivation of employees.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Conducts and provides internal/peer review of compensation analysis and troubleshoots issues as required. Coordinates activities with Compensation Leadership, Regional HR Directors (HRD) and other leaders as required.
  • Researches, evaluates, and recommends job grades for current and/or new positions for assigned Acute/Corporate/Behavioral Health Division clients.
  • Proactively builds relationships with both the field HRD’s as well as division operation HRD’s.
  • Works with Compensation Leadership on a variety of projects including market research, program design, analysis, budgeting, acquisitions, and implementation of new programs.
  • Responds to and completes information necessary for designated salary surveys. Evaluates and provides recommendations for new survey sources as they become available.
  • Assists with the planning and implementation of HRIS projects, the Personnel Action System and Market Pay related to compensation issue.
  • Collaborates with Compensation team to drive consistency across policies, practices, and methodologies.
  • Develops training resources and presentations to improve UHS Compensation knowledge and expertise.
Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, business administration or related field required.
  • At least 5 years of progressively responsible experience in compensation program design and administration.
  • Detailed compensation knowledge required including state and federal laws applying to company compensation programs.
  • Well organized and able to handle multiple competing priorities and confidential issues.
  • Advanced Excel skills (i.e., vlookup, pivot tables, formulas, etc.); proficiency in using Word and PowerPoint.
  • Proficiency with any major HRIS technology platform.
  • Ability to interpret quantitative and qualitative information and draw conclusions in a logical, systematic way.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze multifaceted compensation issues and design viable solutions.
  • Excellent human relations skills, and verbal and written communications skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively.
  • Minimal travel for project-based work may be necessary.
