Reporting to the Director of C ritical C are Services this position assumes the accountability of all aspects of adult and geriatric patient care utilizing the Nursing Process and within the guidelines of the State of C alifornia Nurse Practice Act. Accountable for maintaining standards of nursing practice and optimal patient outcomes in the Stepdown Unit. Responsible for the supervision of all categories of nursing personnel.
QualificationsMINIMUM ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE
One year IC U/StepDown/PC U experience preferred.
MINIMUM ESSENTIAL EDUCATION
Critical Care course required for new grads and RN`s with less than one year experience within 9 months of start date, effective date of change for employees hired or transfered after Sept. 1, 2011.
REQUIRED LICENSURE / CERTIFICATIONS
Current California RN license required.
Basic Arrhythmia C ertificate or 12-Lead EKG C ertificate preferred. AC LS required within 90 days of start date.
Current BLS (CPR) required. CC RN preferred.
NIH Stroke Scale C ertification within 90 days of Hire required.
