Midwest Center for Youth & Families offers specialized residential treatment for children and adolescents with complex mental illnesses. We serve males 12–18 and females 10–18. We work hard to continually improve our treatment and program outcomes for youth and families. 

We are currently looking to hire a Recreational Therapist who can work Monday - Friday, 10am - 6pm (40 hrs/week) at our Valparaiso & Kouts, IN campus.

Qualifications

Minimum Skills, Experience, Licensure and Educational Requirements

1. Bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation, Occupational Therapy, or Rehabilitation from an accredited college or university required.
2. Must be at least 21 years of age.
3. A minimum of two years of related experience, with knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques with understanding of mental illness preferred.
4. Licensed or Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist, Occupational, or Rehabilitation Therapist.
