UHS is Hiring a Partial Hospitalization Program Director Near LOWELL, MA

About the Role:

Our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) in Lowell is looking for a Director to join our team! Our Partial Hospitalization Programs are group-based and short-term for individuals requiring a higher level of care. Our teams work to promote a group that is therapeutic, safe, and supportive. The PHP Director is responsible for the overall quality and fiscal management of the PHP program. This position will have oversight of scheduling, marketing, financial management and overall quality. The PHP Director continuously assures that clinical services are in full compliance with applicable regulations and payer contract specifications. This candidate will promote the development of the program through marketing and by cultivating relationships with other providers, local and state agencies, and managed care organizations. The PHP Director ensures the program is profitable and, at minimum, meets budget.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Ensures the continual growth of the Program through effective selection and development of staff
  • Coordinate and conduct intakes
  • Negotiate fee agreements if necessary
  • Assure that insurance verification and billing are completed for each client and in a timely manner
  • Assure co-payments are collected
  • Assist with resolving problem claims with contracted billing company
  • Develop program effectiveness and methods of treatment in keeping with current practices
  • Run the staff and treatment team meetings
  • Provide group and individual clinical supervision of staff
  • Coordinate clinical information between the treatment team and the prescriber
  • Assure that payroll timesheets are collected and sent to the payroll department in a timely manner
  • Responsible for reporting program statistics to Supervising Director of PHP and CEO
  • Responsible for public relations and program growth
  • Ability to withstand a varying pace in a fluid clinical setting
  • Ability to prioritize workload despite rapidly changing pace and multiple stresses
  • Ability to respond physically and mentally to psychiatric crises

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work, Nursing or related Program, or PhD. in Psychology from an accredited college or University
  • Current State Licensure as a LICSW or LMHC
  • Minimum of two years as a clinical supervisor or program manager preferred
  • Must be 3 years post licensure
  • Prior experience with children & adolescents as well as a higher level of care experience preferred
  • Candidate must possess appropriate citizenship work documentation
  • Candidate must pass a CORI and drug test, as well as other pre-employment documentation
  • Candidate must provide proof of Covid-19 Vaccination Card or appropriate religious / medical exemption. Card must possess at least either two Moderna Vaccinations, two Pfizer vaccinations, or a J&J vaccination with an additional Moderna/Pfizer vaccination

Leadership Expectations:

  • Fosters staff development and growth of team
  • Provides regular coaching and feedback to employees to motivate performance
  • Completes performance evaluations providing thorough feedback and goals to assigned staff by established deadlines
  • Coordinates and provides day-to-day oversight to staff; actively involved in resolving employee matters/issues
  • Maintains open communication through regular rounding and one to one meetings with employees
  • Ensures staff comply with assigned education requirement in a timely manner (i.e., CIA Training, HIPAA training, competencies, etc.)
  • Responsible for holding staff accountable with upholding facility policies/procedures and managing the corrective action process when needed
  • Actively participates and champions the facility’s Service Excellence and Recognition Programs
  • Develops team building initiatives to engage staff and build a positive team dynamic
  • Actively participates in the recruitment, hiring, and onboarding for all staff within the team
