This full-time opportunity in the Intake Department offers 40 hours per week (Monday - Friday), full benefits, and a convenient 1p - 9p schedule.

Mayhill Hospital located in Denton, TX just north of Dallas and Fort Worth, is a 59-bed private psychiatric hospital specializing in mental health and chemical dependency care for adults and seniors. We are one of the few facilities in the area that can provide care to those individuals with both coexisting psychiatric and medical conditions. We are uniquely trained to provide care to seniors who have exhausted their psychiatric days. Position Summary

Under the direction of the Director of Admissions Department, the Manager of Intake assures smooth and orderly processes are followed for responding to Intake calls, referrals, and admission into the hospital. Intake Supervisor is accountable for assisting in management of the department, providing supervision for Intake Staff, crisis intervention, and responding to referrals appropriately. This position interfaces closely with both internal hospital staff, facility physicians, as well as referring hospitals, patients, families, and community referral sources. The working position of Intake Manager will assist in daily administrative duties, assist the Admissions Director in assigned tasks, complete Intake Assessor and duties as well as Admissions Coordinator as needed within department. Position of Intake Supervisor requires skill of providing effective leadership within the Admissions Department and the ability to organize Admission staff to effectively and timely serve patients, families, referral sources through the referral and Admission process. This position carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and procedures. This includes assisting the Director of Admissions with interviewing, hiring, and training of new employees as well as appraising performance, disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree preferred in Hospital Administration, Business Administration, Psychology, Social Work Education, Nursing or a related professional field; Or individual may be a licensed RN and actively be in pursuit of a Bachelor’s Degree.

Experience:1-3 years of experience preferred in psychiatric health care. Working knowledge of DSM-V diagnostic criteria, mental status exam, and addiction and recovery field. Prior management experience preferred.

Licensure: Must possess a license in social work or clinical related mental health field. LPC, LPC-A, LMSW, or LCSW, RN, LFMT license required.

Additional Requirements: CPR certification, Handle with Care and Verbal De-Escalation training within 30 days of employment prior to assisting in a restraining procedure. Must be able to pass a competency exam for the area upon hire. May be required to work flexible hours and overtime.
