We are currently seeking a Intake Clerk for Riveredge Hospital. Simply apply to the posting and discuss your interests with the hiring manager if you are selected to come in for an interview.

The Intake Clerk will be responsible for guiding patients through the Riveredge Continuum of Care and performing clerical duties within the Assessment and Referral (Intake) department. The Intake Clerk should meet with all eligible patients to discuss the benefits of Outpatient services as part of their continuum of care treatment. Thorough understanding of the inpatient workflow process, as it pertains to case management and discharge planning, is preferred. Responsible for maintaining Midas data collection process.

Responsible for communicating services and availability as first point-of-contact for patients/families in crisis and external agencies. Greets patients and families, and escorts patients from various units/departments. Ensures proper documentation of patient calls and records. Initiates additional clerical duties as assigned.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in a human- service or related field preferred.

High School diploma or equivalent required

Experience:

2 -3 years experience in healthcare- related field preferred

Excellent listening and communication skills

Empathetic attitude, with an ability to offer emotional support. Passion for the proper care and well-being of patients
