Responsibilities

Horizon Health, the nation’s leader in psychiatric contract management services, in partnership with SOUTH CENTRAL KANSAS REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER in ARKANSAS CITY, KS seeks highly organized and self-motivated Certified Nursing Assistants for our Inpatient Geriatric Behavioral Health Unit. Horizon is currently hiring for Day and Night shifts.

These are full-time positions working 12-hour shifts and include duties such as observing and recording patient information pertinent to the treatment plan and reporting this information to the Staff Registered Nurse. This position is also responsible for escorting and monitoring patient activities and attending to their personal needs. The CNA must be capable of physically assisting patients, dealing with patient emergencies and working as a member of the clinical team.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED
• Completion of a state-approved CNA program from an accredited institution
• State CNA certification/license
• Valid, unexpired Driver’s license
• Additional certifications
• Crisis prevention certification as required
• CPR certification
• Minimum one year experience with appropriate education
