QualificationsMaster’s degree in social work preferred. Minimum bachelor’s degree in Social Work.; Registered Nurse or LVN with current California license; 2 years of experience in inpatient setting preferred; written and oral communication skills, knowledge of utilization management &skills in case management, time management, discharge planning and crisis intervention common to acute psychotic as well as to non-violent crises intervention practice. Knowledge of acute adult psychological disorders; advanced principals of abnormal psychology as specifically applied to adults, geriatrics, adolescents; familiarity with follow-up resource services; skills in conducting family meetings. Skills in maintaining information as highly confidential; in the absence of these qualifications upon hire, must demonstrate ability to learn these concepts and develop these skills within reasonable time period. Ability to clearly summarize pertinent clinical information via psychosocial assessments, progress notes, with written correspondence and medical records documentation.
